CRAP!!

By: Jeremy | April 19th, 2008

Salcedo was brilliant again. The other Paraguayans, not so much. Da Silva was a ball losing ineffective forward. His worst game by far as a lepra. And Villar, what can we say about Villar. He has played some great games this season, so I guess he was due a stink bomb. Too bad it was against #@$!&@ Boca.

Scotti was Riquleme-ized and not a factor, although I was impressed with Zapata marking Riquelme in the first half especially. Vangioni had a couple of good chances that went for nothing and Schiavi had one denied with a good save by Ibanez and he was his usual stalwart self.

Nobody else stood out from the pack, good or bad.

All in all, I don’t feel like we should have won, but I kind of do feel like we dropped two points since that second goal was Villar’s fault.

Oh well, enough for tonight. Tomorrow we wait and see the rest of the results. Overall not a killer, since we have an easy schedule here on out.

Always it’s the same when we play at la bombonera or river stadium referees helping local teem, they see all fouls against Newell’s. I think we played a very intelligent game and deserved at least equalize, bad luck for us now. We gonna win next one.
Go Newell’s Vamos la lepra carajo!!!

Jeremy you have to read this, I suppose you understand spanish, don’t you?
    diario Ole
    09:21 | GABRIEL HEINZE

And another article at the same web page about Isaac Newell’s birthday number :

    00:00 | AL PIE
    Mucho busto, Don Isaac

GO NEWELL’S , VAMOS LA LEPRA!!!!!

    Jose,
Thanks for the articles. In a way it makes me sad that these guys have to move to Europe for the money (I know they technically don’t have to). I like that he isn’t afraid to say where his heart is. If Lopez was any kind of president, he should make a move for Heinze in two years. I think he’ll be out of contract then. Riquelme could start a trend.

One thing I have tried to find out, but with no luck is when did Don Isaac’s school close? Do you happen to know?

Is a good question. I know Issac died 1907 and his son and doughter in law continued with the school but I don’t know for how long.
