In Rosario, the beautiful game had an ugly side.

By: Jeremy | April 28th, 2008

Salcedo had another good game. Struck the post. Fierce on defense. German Re was his usual stalwart self. Quiroga had a terrible outing doing anything but defending around the box. And Steinert, what can we say about Steinert. Absolutely stunk. Super fast at times, but had nothing. Lost the ball, didn’t know what to do with the ball, couldn’t find the ball. Appeared at times to out run himself.

Ugly game. Ugly. But we’ll gladly take an own goal and the three points, thank you very much. By the way, it was a free kick by Nico Cabrera that Gimnasia keeper Kletnicki let get away from his grasp and into the goal at the six minute mark.

Now, time to concentrate on Independiente. This game is a time to start thinking Copa Sudamericana. Level on points with Independiente in the cup standings, but behind on goal differential, NOB needs to take the three points and move ahead.

I agree horrible game, but you know, some days there are no inspiration, simple just nothing work like you want but despite that we won and that is the impportant thing. I got to say that I like Steinert, I know people expect more of him, I think he could, for me he is a very good player of course he got to porve it.
Go Newell’s ,Vamos la lepra carajo!!!

Well, they say good teams win ugly, so I am thinking we are a good team. Steinert has the ability to become something special, he just needs to put it together. He’s fast and can move with the ball, but the light just doesn’t seem to have turned on yet.
