According to some of the press, Hugo Barrientos is Newell’s 413th new midfield signing of the season. The transfer fee is somewhere around $625,000, payable in two installments to Huracan, half-ish now and the rest in ‘09

Title pretty much sums it up, except for they were also playing in Venezuela. Still don’t understand why they can play a national team in a club championship, but la lepra should be able to beat the Venezuelan national team anyway, so no complaints. (2-0 final)
