A lot has happened while I was moving.
By: Jeremy |Ok, big news. No to the River Plate offer for Fabianni. Again. That means that Santiago Salcedo won’t be leaving Nunez to return to Rosario.
Velez is said to be sending over an offer for el Ogro with some striker that I can’t remember as part of the deal.
The biggest news. About [...]
Newell’s 2 – 1 Huracan, and other stuff
By: Jeremy |Newell’s wins their third friendly, this time by actually scoring their own goals. Both goals came courtesy of Leandro Armani, who is looking strong this preseason. It was another 40 minute or so game, but the next two in Chile, starting tomorrow, are slated to be full time.
In other news, it looks like [...]
First Friendly, Colon 0 – Newell’s 1

Sebastián Peratta; Iván Pillud, Rolando Schiavi, Juan Insaurralde, Ernesto Cristaldo; Gastón Machín, Hernán Bernardello, Leonel Vangioni; Leandro Torres; Damián Steinert and Leandro Armani.

Newell’s wants too much, and it doesn’t look like Santiago Salcedo wants to return, or at least so says his agent (and good friend of Lope$). I’d heard that the minimum was $500K and Salcedo. Since that is too rich for [...]
Fabianni to River? and Other Junk
By: Jeremy |Looks like there might be some action on the Fabianni to River front, even after Newell’s paid him what Lope$ had not. Seems like we still own 50% of Salcedo, and River has the other half. So the talk now is to swap the two, plus something like $500,000 in cash to NOB. [...]
Newell’s News
By: Jeremy |Ok, not a lot to report on the Newell’s front. Cristian Fabbiani wants out, again. Adios, I say, but for a decent price. River Plate boss Nestor Gorosito wants him, so how about $750,000 for the season, and then he is back to Cluj in Romania. Except that River don’t have [...]
