That Wasn’t Pleasant

Out-played, out-coached, out-hustled. Just a good old-fashioned beat down. That was what Newell’s received at the hands of el Rojo on Friday night. Almost nothing worked for NOB, although the first half ended scoreless.

Ok, so you play a Sunday match, and then the AFA mob rewards you with a Friday tie the next week. Think people, think. I know there are mid-week ties with Wed/Sat dates, but those are necessary given the international calendar. The Sun/Fri dates are not.

Losing Ground

Well, after Friday’s loss to Lanus, I think it is safe to say we are on another streak. We entered the game on an unbeaten streak dating back to last year, and we finished the game on a streak of suck dating back three games.
