#29 with a bullet.

By: Jeremy | July 20th, 2008

I’m slipping. I meant to post this the other day in case anyone missed it on the Offside main page. World Soccer Magazine put out their list of the 50 greatest derbies in the world, and Newell’s-Central made the list at 29.

Only having seen it from afar, I can’t speak to whether it deserves to be higher or not. The only real derby that I have seen in person is Motagua-Olimpia in Honduras, and it didn’t make the list, but it is pretty mean.

I’m pretty sure that most hated rivals in the world are Newell’s and central. I can’t explain how happy you feel when see Newell’s defeat central at the stadium, concrete shake with la hinchada, it is great, those things you never forget.
