By: Jeremy | June 16th, 2008Could it be? Rumor is that he will be in Rosario in a couple of days to talk with Lopez. I support Caruso, but this is Gallego we are talking about.
The man won several titles as a player, and the World Cup. Then as a coach he took River, Independiente, Newells, and Toluca (mexico) to titles - all in the last 14 years, and that included a three year stint as an assistant to Passarella on the national team. The man is a champion. He started his career with Newell’s and finished at River.
As much as I would like to see Caruso stay, this would be a heck of a replacement.
