Bernardello to Start in Panama.

By: Jeremy | May 20th, 2009

When Argentina faces Panama today in Santa Fe, Hernan Bernardello will be starting in midfield. None other than Diego Maradona has praised his form this year and this is more than just a chance to play against a third rate national team.

Diego is using this as a chance to look at players who are currently playing in Argentina and not abroad. What makes this a big deal for Bernardello is the fact that Angel Di Maria was suspended for the next four World Cup qualifiers for his little expulsion against Bolivia.

A good performance and el Cabezon will earn himself a call up for a real match.

The other Newell’s player that had Diego interested, Mauro Formica, is injured and will not be on the squad.
