BYE BYE, LOPEZ?
By: Jeremy | October 23rd, 2008Thanks you Jesus. According to Ole and Rosario/12, the courts in Rosario have apparently decided that Lopez cannot block the 20,000 or so socios from voting in the election in December due to not having paid their monthly quotas. Since Newell’s as an institution stopped collecting them in 2004, it has been hard to pay them and more than once Lopez used it to block a majority of socios from voting at various events. He has also never presented documentation to support banning most of the socios for not paying, nor has he proved that his supporters who did get to vote had paid. So the judge found that not having paid is not a reason to not be allowed to vote.
It seems that his luck is running out. He tried to have the judge presiding over the case recused, but that didn’t work. Back in August, the Justice department sent an envoy to Newell’s office to see the books, and Lopez said he couldn’t see them that day, but in six days he would make them available. He never did.
Barring another judge stepping in and taking his side, always a possibility where Lopez is concerned, it seems that all registered socios will be able to vote in December. Now we just need for Lopez not to find a way to avoid having the elections, which I am sure he is trying to do right now.
If the opposition can just unite behind a single ticket, Lopez will be out on his butt, followed by el Pimpi and the Gordos and all their lot.

With Lopez you never know, until he no longer stay as president I don’t going to believe it. Many people is fighting for a better future in Newell’s despite barras bravas violence, I know many leper can’t go to El Coloso becouse barras that support Lopez, you can’t hang a flag with the name of Marcelo Bielsa or Martino, two newell’s idols, all for those cowards. Go Newell’s LIBRE !!!!

Everything comes to an end sometime. Just getting Lopez out will be an achievement, but then there will be more hard work in getting rid of el Pimpi and the rest of his cohorts, and they aren’t going to go easy, since they are making a ton of cash off the team.
