Caminos Up To His Old Tricks?
By: Jeremy | October 18th, 2009An ex member of the Pimpi Caminos led barrabrava was shot and killed Friday night in a neighborhood that was/is a Caminos stronghold.
The victim’s sister claims that he was baited into a trap by two friends, and a third guy with his face covered walked up and shot Gabriel Sánchez three times, hitting his heart and killing him almost instantly.
According to the neighbors, they didn’t see anything and they just thought the shots were firecrackers. His sister says that the shooter was the fifteen year old son of Roberto ‘Pimpi’ Caminos, ex-leader of the barrabrava at Newell’s and crony of Eduardo Lopez.
Sánchez was one of the barra that was wounded back in a 2003 clash with members of the River Plate barra that left three NOB supporters dead and sixteen or so wounded, including Sánchez.
Of course, to be fair, his sister could be talking crazy or making stuff up out of grief, but Sánchez is the third person related to the Newell’s barra under Caminos to be killed in that neighborhood since 2007.
