El Ciudadano Mirrors Newell’s Old Boys
By: Jeremy | December 19th, 2008It seems like the good folks over at the newspaper El Ciudadano have the same problem that the Newell’s employees do. They haven’t been paid since September. Their owner last Monday promised to pay them part of October’s salary. Which he has yet to do.
Now, to be fair, last weekend he had a really really bad Sunday, so maybe he forgot his promise. But that doesn’t change the fact that this lack of paying anywhere near on time has been going on for some time.
What does this have to do with Newell’s? Nothing really, except that the same rat bastard that was hell bent on ruining Newell’s is the owner of El Ciudadano. That’s right, Lope$ is screwing them over just like he did la Lepra. The bad news for them is now that he doesn’t have NOB to embezzle, he can focus more time on ruining their lives.
That’s why I never read El Ciudadano. He owned it. It’s funny that up until he lost the election, La Capital (or at least certain writers) was very favorable to him. Now they seem to have turned on him like everyone else. Maybe we can sell the newspaper and use the money to repay some of what was stolen from Newell’s.
