Fabbiani still may play, and random junk.

By: Jeremy | November 14th, 2008

I’m still a bit nervous heading into the match. Fabbiani wants to play, he said for Newell’s it is the match of the championship. NOB is a whole different animal with him in the game. He’s a fierce competitor and can finish from anywhere. His replacement, Juan Carlos Ferreyra can not. He plays hard, but he’s not dangerous. San Lorenzo will be able to play off him and put a lot of attention on Diego and el Chino. Not an ideal situation. And San Lorenzo will have Ledesma back, who i think is the heart of their midfield and offense.

A new court decision handed down today says that anyone registered as a socio can vote in the December elections, regardless of whether they have paid the last three months or not, as had been first decided.

I have to think this is in retaliation for Lopez not allowing socios to pay their cuotas. A rumor even started that socios could pay their cuotas at one of the courthouses due to Uncle Edward making it so hard to pay up. Maybe that Edward is on his way out, after all.

Getting Lopez out will be a grand thing, but thing is I have yet to see anyone mention an alternate candidate… and on facebook I joined several Leproso groups.

Guillermo Lorente is the MoLe candidate, and maybe the only other one. I haven’t heard if other groups returned the necessary documents. For me, fewer candidates means a better shot at someone other than Lopez winning. It should be a slam dunk, but with Lopez you never know.
