Fabianni to River? and Other Junk
By: Jeremy | January 10th, 2009Looks like there might be some action on the Fabianni to River front, even after Newell’s paid him what Lope$ had not. Seems like we still own 50% of Salcedo, and River has the other half. So the talk now is to swap the two, plus something like $500,000 in cash to NOB. I’m ready for the dumb ass to move on. The idiot actually posed for pictures with his daughter (who is a one cute baby) and had a River Plate jersey hanging over his head.
If Newell’s wasn’t so cash poor (thanks again Uncle Edward) I would just say sit his loud mouth on the reserve squad bench and see how he likes it. But getting Salcedo and cash back is just too good a deal.
Lucas Bernardi supposedly arranged his release from AS Monaco today and will join the team by the time they head to Mar del Plata for training.
The Chilean invasion is on hold, since Audax Italiano backed out. Newell’s is trying to add games against La Serena and now Colo Colo. They want to play three games, but will settle for two. Everton is definite, so if they can line up at least one of those two, then the trip is on.
This just in, Eduardo Lope$ is a thieving bastard. That’s all for now.
