Hands off, Boca!
By: Jeremy | April 19th, 2008Schiavi was ready to head back to Boca when he left Gremio, and a few people didn’t want him to return, so he signed with Newell’s. Last year, he beat Boca. If he beats Boca, at home, then don’t start wanting him back. He’s signed through 2010 and we best be keeping him. The defense is mighty solid with him back there.
Turns out some people over at Boca are interested in talking about picking him up in the summer. For his part, he says he isn’t thinking about that right now, but will see what happens in the summer. Privately, he is liking life out of the Boca pressure pot. I think it is kind of like playing for the Yankees. Everything is hyper magnified. With NOB he is captain and perhaps the key player on the team. Gotta like that.
