Maybe Nike is right, it is the shoes.

Saw this over on the pasionrojinegro site (great site for practice info and stories, as well as the occasional pic or two) and thought I would post it.

Apparently Salcedo has had the boots for a while and only used them in a few practices to break them in. He said that since they matched the NOB colors so well, he decided to debut them in the clasico. “Their debut couldn’t have been better,” Sa-Sa said.

After the game, plenty of people called to congratulate him, including his mother, who is in Chile with his brother Mingo, who happens to play with Colo Colo. The Salcedos hail from Paraguay, so they do tend to get around a bit.
