Welcome Back Sa-Sa!

By: Jeremy | February 8th, 2009

Santiago Salcedo watched Saturday’s game from the box with several of the directors and Alejandro Da Silva. Next week, he plans to be on the pitch, scoring goals. In the meantime, here is a little video of the Clausura 08 goal he scored to beat Sin Aliento 1-0.

It was the now famous mummy goal. After a collision with a Central player, his head had to be bandaged to stop the bleeding and he played on.

I tell you what, Formica doesn’t look like he is going to come out of the lineup and Armani is a star in the making as well. Salcedo will be hard pressed to start every game.

You right about that, also Sperdutti deserve be titular, I hope we’ll play another great game, but in boca’s stadium, you know referees always help them. GO LA LEPRA.

Formica could well be pulled back into the midfield, but then who gets taken out make room for him there? Certainly not Sperdutti, after the game he had. Bernardi and Bernadello worked well enough together, and Vagioni is hard to dislodge as well. And that still leaves Leo Torres on the bench.

    Hi Jeremy.

I am in Argentina on a holiday from London at the moment (I am a huge Arsenal fan and regular visitor to the Emirates). I went to the NOBs game vs. Gimnasia at the weekend with some Leprosos and I have fallen in love with the club. My friend and I plan to go to the Bombanera to follow the mighty Newell’s this weekend as well.

I am an aspiring journalist and am trying to write an article about events at Newell’s over the past year or so, and I was wondering if I could get your e-mail address to ask you some questions about the club?

My e-mail is fgmyoung@hotmail.com and I would be very grateful for any time you could spare.

    Thank you!

    ¡Vamos La Lepra!

(Likewise anyone else who would be willing to provide me with information, anecdotes, etc about the club – please feel free to get in touch!)

    Gracias
